Happy and sad...

Today I said goodbye to my coworkers at the Child Advocacy Center.  After four years at the CAC, I have grown and learned more than I could have ever imagined.  I love the CAC and I love working with children in need, but now the Lord has opened a new door for me.  And as much as I hate to say goodbye, I am following where He leads me.  I will miss these special people more than words can express, but I know I have built relationships that will last a lifetime.  They are very dear to my heart and will forever be considered family to me!

As I cry for the people I will miss seeing everyday, I smile, looking forward to this new chapter God has laid out for me.  I will now be a school counselor at Houston Academy.  I am so excited for this amazing opportunity!  Here's to sweet memories, precious friend, and new beginnings!

Baby Judson...

After a  long night and day for Judson's amazing mommy and a lot of waiting from the rest of the fam....

We finally got the first glimpse of sweet baby Judson!

 We anxiously watched through the nursery window waiting to see more of Judson.

Finally, Judson got to spend some time with his mommy.  She worked so hard to bring him into this world...Judson is one lucky fella!

 Weighing in at 10 lbs, 5 oz and 22 inches long and a head full of hair. He is a perfect little miracle!

 I could hardly wait to get my hands on him and I finally got the chance!  

 I couldn't hold back the tears...he is so precious and I love him already.

 Judson got to meet his Uncle Kole for the first time!

 Babies are one God's most precious gifts and no matter how many babies I see brought into the world, it still amazes me.  God's goodness and blessings were poured out over us in a special way.  

Keesha and Dustin we love you guys and we enjoyed sharing in the birth of your new little blessing.  And we can't wait to spoil Judson rotten as we watch him grow!

Behind on the bloggin...

I'm a little behind on my blogging because I have been too busy having fun in the sun.  Actually I have been busy with work, but I have been spending all my free time enjoying the sunshine!  You can view the more embarrassing/silly/acting like a kid moments in the sun here but if you want to skip that...here are some poolside fun we had celebrating my sweet brother's birthday!

 It wouldn't be a birthday party without Wesley's best bud Hunter...

 He's a sweet fella who enjoys sitting in his own chairs like his fellow humans.

 He also enjoys singing with his fellow humans.  I'm pretty sure he doesn't know he's a dog, but we won't tell him 

 They are just the bestest of friends!

 And so is this sweet girl!  My friend Jenn is a new mommy, but she was able to sneak away for some mommy time by the pool!

 Ahh watermelon...the highlight of my day.  I might have a slight addiction to watermelon.

 (Note to self...sunglasses on top of your head don't mix with wet hair...I'm thinking this is not a good look for me, but it does make me laugh)

It was a perfect day by the pool celebrating my sweet "baby" brother with great friends!  Just some of the simple joys of summer!
