13 weeks
It is true, the bump has appeared as if in the blink of an eye. To be honest, looking at these pictures weirds me out a bit. I wasn't expecting to see this bump at 13 weeks! But whether I like it or not, here it is. It's strange and beautiful to see your body change so quickly, right in front of your eyes. But I am not complaining one bit because the sweetest thing is that the protruding bump means Baby Skinner is growing and that is just amazing to me. So bring on the bump....it's so worth it!
Here's an update on our little journey thus far.
Size of baby: a peach (Baby Skinner is about 2.9 inches crown to rump and weighs about .81 oz.)
What is baby Skinner up to? Baby Skinner is now able to move and flex his or her arms and legs. We have already seen Baby Skinner is quite the wiggle worm and is moving around quite a bit though I won't be able to feel it for a few more weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: about 3 pounds (despite how big I look in these pictures)
Maternity clothes? I have purchase some maternity pants. I can still fit in most of my pants, but I just was not comfortable. So I have taken the plunge and it is so comfortable!
Sleep: So so...I have to make quite of few trips to the restroom and it has been difficult for me to fall back asleep but this past week has seemed to be a little bit better.
- Movement: None yet, but that is one thing I am looking forward to!
Best moment this week: Being so close to the end of the first trimester. I have been quite the worry wart, so I am anxious to officially be done with the first trimester.
Food cravings: Organic Chocolate Milk-I seriously can't get enough! It is so good and I've actually never been one to drink milk on its on.
Gender: Not sure, I felt pretty strongly that it was a boy in the beginning but now I'm leaning towards girl. So I guess I am going back and forth at this point. Kole is on the fence so he's not sure what he's feeling yet.
What I miss: Working out. Well I am still doing little work outs but they aren't nearly as intense as I use to work out and I miss that but no complaints, it is worth it!
- Pregnancy Symptoms: I have been a lucky one, I haven't had a bit of sickness. (Thank you Lord!) I felt a little icky for a couple of days around 7 weeks but that was really it. I have been extremely tired! At the end of the day, I am exhausted. I could literally go to sleep around 7 o'clock every night.
What I am looking forward to: Finding out boy or girl! It's just about all we can talk about. We don't care either way, we are just praying for a healthy baby. We will hopefully find out the gender in about 4.5 weeks!
