For behold, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone, the flowers have already appeared in the land; the time has arrived for pruning the vines, and the voice of the turtledove has been heard in our land. The fig tree has ripened its figs, and the vines in blossom have given forth their fragrance.
Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, And come along!
Song 2:11-13
There is nothing like a beautiful Sunday! After a long week last week, a care free Sunday was just what I needed to feel rejuvenated! Kole I spent the weekend in the yard, giving Thor a bath, which he hates and planting some flowers...our first time ever so I'm pretty sure they won't grow but it was still fun to do some gardening! Kole and I also tried out some bikes a friend gave us and we had a blast acting like little kids! Some neighborhood kids even came out to ride around with us and it was so much fun! I can't remember the last time I road a bike...actually I think it was about 3 years ago in Navarre with Jess (that was a blast too!!!) Every time I pick up the bike riding again I just love it so maybe I'll stick with it this time! We'll see oh and I'll be sure to keep you posted on our plant progress...that is if there is any!

Meet the Skinners...

My name is Ashley and I am brand new at the whole blog thing but I think I'm picking it up fairly quickly! I have been married to my best friend, Kole for 8 months! We were married in June and I'm not just saying it, but married life is wonderful! Kole and I went to high school together but we weren't high school sweethearts though we were always friends. I would have never thought I would marry Kole but I am so glad that God had it all planned out! Kole is my greatest gift and sharing this journey with my best friend is more than I could have ever imaginged! Now, enough with all the mushy stuff. Kole and I have a dog, who is basically our child and his name is Thor! We rescued Thor about a year and half ago and its hard to remember life without him! I'm sure you will be hearing lots of "Thor Stories!" Kole and I both work with children in different aspects. Kole is a P.E. teacher at Webb Elementary and he coaches football and baseball at Houston County High School. I work at the Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center where we work with abused children and their families. God has truly blessed Kole and I and we give Him all the glory for all that we are and all that we have! Please visit our blog to hear more about our life!
Trying out this whole blog thing?
I'm am new at this blog thing so I'm just trying to figure out how all this works! Any pointers from you veterans would be greatly appreciated! ; )
